Constance's Fight

If you are fortunate, you have an angel in this world. If you are really, really blessed, you have actually met him/her. I am one of those really, really blessed people and my angel is Constance Richan. There's a good chance she is yours too. She's the first person to notice when you are having a really awesome hair day or are wearing an amazing pair of shoes (or tie) and is the first to pounce when she sees an injustice. She is strong, fiercely loyal, the best friend you will ever have and she needs your help. Yes, she is an angel, but is also human. Constance's birthday gift last year was a Stage 4 inflammatory breast cancer diagnosis followed a day later by her mother's death,, an aggressive 8 week series of chemo, loss of her crowning glory/trademark hair, fingernails and depletion of her financial resources. Her fight is just beginning. Next week she will undergo a double mastectomy followed by radiation, reconstruction and more chemo. Her spirit is strong, her courage even stronger. She is an inspiration of grace, but make no mistake, she is under fire. She is in the fight of her life and she needs your prayers and support. She will not ask for herself. So we are asking for her. We are Constance's Commandos and we are dedicated to fighting for Constance to provide financial and emotional support so she and her husband Craig can focus on the very difficult job of surviving this very aggressive and deadly form of breast cancer without distraction.
