Science, Service, Spanish -- OH MY!
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
Lindsay here! I have a great opportunity to go to Costa Rica with North Star Academy. We will be traveling to Costa Rica on the first week of June. The trip will focus on science, service and Spanish (a language I love and have been learning for more than 10 years). This trip will allow us to explore many places.
Here is our itinerary:
Day 1 We arrive is San Jose CR and explore the Butterfly Garden in Alajuela.
Day 2 We will white water raft on the stunningly beautiful Pacure River. We will explore the riverbanks and collect poison arrow frogs.
Day 3 We head to Manuel Antonio National Forest where we may see sloths, monkeys, jaguars and birds. Then we will swim in the ocean!
Day 4 We explore the Santa Elena Cloud forest, a paradise rich in diverse plant and animal life and situated near the Continental Divide.
Day 5 We hike Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna Waterfalls. We will volunteer at a local school which may include mentoring, homework assistance and light construction projects.
Day 6 We head to La Selva to assist with the study of red poison arrow frogs. In the afternoon we take in a canopy tour near Sarapiqui.
Day 7 We will explore the Zoo Avenue and head home.
If any of you could donate any money, I would greatly appreciate it.
Gracias por tu tiempo,
Lindsay
