NRV Diaper Pantry

The NRV Diaper Pantry exists to provide diapers for infants, the disabled and elderly.  A diaper is a small thing, but it can impact big things. The need is tremendous—a healthy child will require an average of 50 diaper changes a week. That’s approximately 2600 diaper changes a year. An inability to afford diapers makes it difficult if not impossible for parents to leave their children with a childcare provider (most require parents to provide a full day of disposable diapers). 
Diapers are expensive—they can cost $70 to $80 or more each month—and they cannot be purchased with food stamps or WIC.  There are over 200 diaper banks across the country, but the closest dedicated diaper pantry is over 94 miles away from Blacksburg.
