Help Us Provide Warmth to Those in Need This Winter

Hello everyone,

My name is Michael Paulsen, and I’ve recently been struck by the harsh reality that so many people in our communities are braving these freezing winter nights without proper shelter or warmth. With a weather warning for snow and temperatures set to drop even further, I felt compelled to do something—anything—to help.

The idea started simply: What if we could hand out sleeping bags to people in need? I went online to check prices, but many were far too expensive for me to fund alone. Then, I stumbled upon a page selling sleeping bags for just £8 each. That’s when the idea clicked. With £800, we could buy 100 sleeping bags—100 opportunities to make someone’s night a little safer and warmer. We’ve now updated that to make more sleeping bags so 1200 is 150 sleeping bags and so on so on. Whatever is made will be turned into help for homeless-ness and really will be put to the best use with this outreach project in the next week or so

I realized that while I can’t do this alone, we can make it happen together. If enough of us chip in—whether it’s £1, £5, or more—we can fund a wholesale purchase of sleeping bags. My friends and I will personally distribute them to those who need them most.
