"Noteworthy" Short Film

My name is Johnny Fregosi. My sobriety date is June 2nd, 2018. “Noteworthy” is a short film I wrote based on a true story about a miraculous “coincidence” in my journey of recovery. While SAG and the WGA work out a fair deal with AMPTP, we are taking the advice of Mark Ruffalo by independently producing this project. With the blessing of SAG-AFTRA, we will assist in blazing a new path with other passionate and driven Independent filmmakers. We at "Noteworthy" stand in solidarity with both the WGA and SAG.

Based on a true story, "Noteworthy" follows the inspiring journey of two friends, Jay and Taylor, who find solace and strength in their shared experiences through the fellowship in a 12-step program. The film explores the challenges they face, the relapses they confront and endure, and the unwavering support they offer each other during the times it’s most needed. “Addiction” has become a common term heard at the average American dinner table. My wish is that “Noteworthy” aids in removing the stigma of addiction and reminds us that a simple act of kindness may save a life. Though “Noteworthy” is a tale of addiction and redemption, the theme of “overcoming turmoil with the help of friends” stretches far beyond the borders of drug use.

Your generous contributions will enable us to cover essential production costs, such as: Equipment, Set Design, Location and Permits, Post-Production, and Festival Submissions.
