Hello. I am Robert Fenwick, a longtime resident of Hollywood, Florida. Mary Rubio and I started this project together and we need your help. When and if we reach the the goal, our specific plan for the money is to use 100% of the funds to work with my friend Norsang Lama to purchase building materials to rebuild his home which was destroyed by the Nepal earthquake. We connect daily text/talk via Whatsapp where he gives me updates on his ongoing situation. Please contact me directly by clicking the email button on the right to discuss questions or concerns.
That's Norsang and I in the top picture. The two of us spent a whole month trekking to Mount Everest and around the Himalayas in May 2006. Norsang is a shining example of the Nepalese culture - spiritual, humble, strong and of the highest moral character. I spent time with him and his family at his modest home on that trip where they made me a very welcome guest. Now that home has been destroyed by the 7.8 earthquake and the later 7.3 aftershock. We have remained close all these years staying in regular contact and I want to bring everyone together to help him.
Norsang and his family escaped unharmed but they need IMMEDIATE assistance and relief. I began by sending funds via Western Union and have pledged 2 more stages of funding outside of this GoFundMe project but it isn't nearly enough. I am asking everyone to get behind this family and give whatever small amount possible to help them rebuild their home. This is your opportunity to give directly to a family in need. 
Norsang is a man who lives a simple and happy life guiding adventurers throughout the Himalayas. He hasn't only lost his home from the devastating quake, he also lost his livelyhood and income from his traveling clients. He is in dire need of funding to give himself and his family the basic shelter that everyone requires.
We are all vulnerable to unpredictable, life-changing events, but this one has left this wonderful family completely homeless and depleted of resources.
