No diabetes, Fight diabetes

My name is Jack Maybee, and this is my story, from the age of 10 years old I had met my best friend Liam Scarman at school, we were inseparable, and also outside of those learning days.

Unfortunately at the age of 15, he was diagnosed with type one diabetes, and this illness changed his life considerably. He couldn't continue with his favourite sport of boxing, also adjusting his lifestyle and diet and medication.

On boxing day 7 years ago due to lack of medication he sadly passed away.

since then his father and family have raised money towards Diabetes research UK, to help prevent others having a similar event. Raising awareness for the eradication of diabetes.

I miss him terribly, this year would of been his 30th birthday, so with James and myself we are going to run the Bristol half marathon, raising as much money as possible for this charity and my memories of my best friend.

Please give generously, everyone now knows someone living with type one or type two diabetes.
