Help for Nina’s Rehab Costs
Donazione protetta
So, our mom Nina somehow managed to crash into a tree. But it was at the hospital so I'm hoping they didn't charge her for an ambulance ride. Getting injured at the hospital has its irony, but it's also the best place in the world to smash up your car.
The poor 2003 Honda Element - what a trooper:

The benevolent (eucalyptus?) tree:

After the crash, Nina was in the hospital for several weeks where, so far, she has had her spleen removed and her ankle operated upon. She has 2 knee surgeries pending her initial recovery. After a bit of recooperation, she moved to a rehab facility in Los Angeles to continue her recovery. Her progress is coming along nicely at this point. She can now walk with assistance and scoots around on a wheel chair.
Unfortunately, her insurance doesn't cover all of the rehab facility costs. Currently, our share of cost for the rehab facility is around $1300 per month. She's been there since August and will most likely stay there until the middle of next year. The family has been covering everything so far. It's not impossible for us, but we are definitely feeling the financial pressure.
Here’s Nina post surgery and during a therapy session at rehab:

We're all very thankful that Nina is still with us and that we can look back and kinda laugh at the whole situation. Your thoughts and keeping Nina in your prayers are also appreciated. Thanks for reading!
