Nicky's Journey: She will beat Cancer!

Nicky was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Metaplastic Carcinoma of the Breast and Lymph nodes.    She is on a schedule for Chemo starting next week, for 6 months. After Chemo (if another round of treatment isnt needed) she will have a double masectomy and removal of infected lymph nodes, followed by radiation. When the family started planning schedules to help out where they could a reality set in, financial impact will be real. You think all you have to worry about is support & emotional strength, health & faith? No way!  Nicky's paid sick time at work (School system) will soon be gone, as will her Fiance's, Mike Zaldua. After that she will need to take unpaid leave so she can focus on winning this battle. Between Nicky & her Fiance, they have a blended family of 4 girls, 3 of which will be in college by 2020. The strain will be real. After speaking to families who have survived this battle,  this is just the beginning of medical expenses, co-pays left & right and prescriptions. Not to mention the alkaline diet they reccomend she be on and the supplies to keep her comfortable. I think any little bit can help them stay above water, financially.   Thats why we decided this family needed a Go-Fund-Me!
