Bethany’s Nicaragua Mission Trip July 2024

Dear friends and family…
As you may know I am currently finishing up my first year at UNCG. This first year of college was full of so many unknowns and so much change, but God has continued to move in my life and show me that I can lean on him in the uncertainty. I have been able to take steps in my faith in this season that have been life changing. With that being said God has presented me with an amazing opportunity yet again to join Lifepoint Church on a trip to Nicaragua. I feel like this is another step in my faith that I can take to pursue my relationship with the Lord.
Last summer I was able to go to Nicaragua for the first time on a mission trip. That week changed my life. It was so humbling and such a purposeful opportunity for growth. I learned so much about serving God, loving people, and serving God’s people. I was met with so many inspiring opportunities like connecting with kids, climbing a volcano, digging trenches to give villages access to clean water systems and so much more.
Following the will of God, I will be there during the summer from July 19th until July 26th. We will be partnering with Amigos for Christ to share the Healing love of Jesus.
During our stay we will take on numerous tasks. Some of these include connecting with others, helping to provide clean water, modernizing bathrooms and kitchens, mentoring with education, economics, and more.
As I have shared before I feel like God is calling me into this journey, I ask that He bless us with the strength and support to take on the role of spreading His word. If you feel called I ask that you send your support as well. The biggest blessing you can provide is to include our team that God has chosen to carry out this mission in your prayers!
We ask that you pray for our safe travels, open hearts, the community, and for each day to come with the chance to plant a seed of faith.
In addition, I will need to raise $2,000 before June 30th. If you find it in your heart and can support me financially, please know that it would be used to support those in need.
