Ryan Neve for Chan Ward
Donation protected
Hi I’m Ryan Neve and I am putting up my hand for councilor in the Chan Ward for the City of Darwin election on August 26.
We are just not getting the services we pay our rates to Council for.
Over the past 5 years it is clear the current Council has forgotten what it was elected to do.
If elected I will focus on the real things Council should be doing for ratepayers – getting back to basics.
Three things I will deliver if elected are;
1. Better Rubbish Services – Give residents a third "green" bin for garden waste and palm fronds with weekly pick-up as well as picking up the “yellow” recycling bin once a week!
2. Fix our Footpaths - Activate a footpath renewal and repair program across our suburbs - footpaths need to be clean, useable and on both sides of the street!
3. Introduce a “Good Doggy Discount” for pet registration – if you have a well-behaved pet who doesn’t get in trouble with Council you are eligible for a 10% discount each year your pet behaves.
Councils are elected to deliver services we pay our rates for, and it’s time they did so again.
But I can't do this alone, and any help you can lend to help me be a strong voice on Council is greatly appreciated.
$10 gets a sign to put on a fence, $20 helps me boost a post on Facebook, $100 helps with banners and flyers going into letterboxes, every bit helps and is greatly appreciated.
