Nervous Unicorns is a play about a group of recovering addicts who convene at an intensive outpatient program and find themselves up against dark supernatural forces.

This is an original stage-play and it is the world premiere and theatre debut of Nervous Unicorns.

Note from the writer:

This play does not acknowledge the characters' age, race, gender, ethnicity, milieu, location, or real names, and it makes no literary or cultural references at any point in the narration.

It is a tired cliché to regard a piece of writing as universal, but this is the only way to frame it: These eight characters are any of us.

Addiction is running rampant through our modern lives and continues to plague us all...so by deploying a condition of anonymity, the story invites an audience to project themselves directly onto the characters, and the circumstances of the story, and have an experience that feels true to life.

This is why we felt a fundraising campaign would serve this production best...
