Nelson & Dan's Adventure for Addiction and Healing
My brother from another Nelson and I are riding our bikes about 100 miles from Dutchess County, New York over the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge to Kerhonkson, New York to raise money and awareness for strokes and opioid drug addiction.
Last Summer, Nelson suffered a stroke while working from home. Miraculously, he was taken to the hospital and was given blood clot meds that pretty much whipped out his stroke. After months of rehab and rest, he's doing amazing and has fully recovered and resolved the issue that lead to his stroke. My dear friend Tim is also a stroke survivor and has also recovered tremendously, but deals with stroke related issue everyday. We will be donating half the money we raise from our ride to the American Stroke Foundation .
On Friday, June 11, 2021 my younger brother lost his battle with Heroin addiction. This drug, and the prescription precursor to it, are wreaking havoc on our families and communities. Half the money raised from our ride will go to Ulster County charities that help families and victims of this horrific addictions and diseases.
Please donate whatever you can and help us help others. We both appreciate any support you can lend. God bless.
1 Cents/mile = $1.00
10 Cents/mile $10.00
$1.00/mile = $100
Or any amount you can afford. :o)
Peace,
Nelson & Dan
