Nelson and the Body - Horror Short Film
Donation protected
A psychological horror short film about a man who prefers the company of a corpse.
I'm Hannah West, and I'm the producer of the short horror film, Nelson and the Body! This is my and my director’s senior thesis film in the WKU Film program, and we are determined to tell this story in the best way we can. In order to give our film life, we're asking for donations that will go towards the production of the film.
Makeup, prosthetics, set dressing, wardrobe, and of course food for the crew are a few things that you would be funding when you donate! Please take a moment to look over our sizzle reel and donate a few dollars if you can. Not only would you be helping us achieve our creative dream, you'd also be getting a special thank you in the credits of our film!
Meet Our Crew!

A horror movie buff and student of forensic psychology, Director Anna Raker has been dedicated to story telling and world building through the film medium ever since she picked up one of her fathers old video cameras. Since then, she's grown as a filmmaker and has found her two passions, psychology and film, and hopes to merge the two in her upcoming project. In the future, Anna hopes to continue to write and direct her own films and graduate into the feature film industry.
Hannah West, producer of Nelson and the Body, was born and raised in Paducah, Kentucky. She found her love for film through her father, who showed her his favorite films on laser discs as a kid and taught her how to use a camera. Hannah is a senior in the WKU Film program, and plans on moving to Los Angeles or Atlanta after graduation to produce films and write on the side, hoping to inspire a change in the narrative through storytelling.

Kelsey Carwile, Director of Photography, grew up in the small town of Leitchfield, Kentucky with big dreams. Excited by all things film-related at an early age, she has aspired to capture people's stories by acquiring the essence of every shot to bring out the best in her storytelling. Kelsey's determination, strong will, and creativity give her the ability to get things done in a quick but efficient manner. She loves to tell relatable and unique stories, but when she's not on set, Kelsey enjoys other forms of art, such as reading, writing, and playing music.

Editor William Gregory tackles his films with passion and innovation. Raised in rural Kentucky, William fell in love with films that tell deep stories with riveting emotional impact. Thinking outside the box with directing and editing, he evokes emotion through color, sound, and frame. William uses his editing skills in other areas of film to bring different perspectives to the table.

Sydney is from Evansville, Indiana and has always been very passionate about film. She got her start by getting a small camcorder for her birthday as a kid, and she has been persisting her dream of making movies ever since then. She loves working jobs above and below the line, but her passion is production design. After graduation, she plans on moving to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue film.

Chris Lambert, 1st Assistant Director, is a current Senior at WKU. Born in Winchester, Kentucky, he’s always had an itch for creativity and bringing visions to life. His hobbies include beating any person who stands in his way in Super Smash Brothers, unironically liking Space Jam, and taking long walks on the beach. He looks forward to creating unique films that push the medium into new and innovative places.
