A massive fire surprised the town of Paradise, California in the early morning of November 8th. Neddy and Jessie grabbed what they could and got their 2 little kids and Jessie's mother to safety in Chico and then Yuba City.
They are crammed into one room and need more space. Jessie's mom has dementia and requires extra care, making a difficult situation even harder.
Their home and farm business are probably lost, they have lost almost everything, and it will be a long time before any insurance can reimburse them.
They are paying out of pocket from modest savings for hotel rooms, meals, gasoline, clothes and other emergency expenses for five people. In Northern California a situation like this could cost several hundred dollars a day.
They need money right away and will probably need funds for several weeks until they can get back on their feet.
We will update this post with information about their situation and other ways to help. Send them some love and donate what you can.
