Hello, I am Nathan’s older sister (Cristen), and I am one of Jacquie’s closest friends (Melissa).
We have come together to create this GoFundMe to support Nathan and Jacquie. We’ve seen firsthand the strength, love, and dedication they continue to show despite the challenges they are facing.
For anyone who has ever had the opportunity of sharing time with Nathan knows what a beautiful human being he is. At just 20 years old Nathan was struck with Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer in 2021 and he bravely endured chemo treatments alone due to the pandemic with his mom and family on the sidelines for support. Nathan then went into remission after his chemo treatments as there was no evidence of the disease left.
Although it was unlikely to happen years later, he found out that his Lymphoma relapsed 6 months ago. This time however, all the chemo and immunotherapy treatments that he has received since October of 2025 are not enough. A donor bone marrow transplant is necessary and currently being scheduled.
Nathan will be in hospital for a lengthy stay and will be faced with a very long recovery period, he has been strong in his approach to fighting this cancer and immune deficiency and is very thankful for the bone marrow transplant option. Nathan has at least another year in recovery after the transplant happens and we all want him to go into this with a clear positive mind so he can beat this once and for all!
Nathan is unable to work for the unforeseeable future. Jacquie, Nathan’s mom is not working and is by his side every step of the way. For all of you who know Jacquie, this is not surprising as she dedicates her existence to her only son.
As unexpected costs continue to appear like overnight trips to the United States for clinical trials, special dietary needs, and every day living, our hope is to ease some of the financial stress and help Nathan and Jacquie focus on what matters most—his health, recovery, and time together as a family.
We will provide updates on Nathan’s health regularly for all to continue to support the family in whichever way you can.
Also sharing this link and keeping them in your thoughts and prayers means the world to both of them.
Thank you for walking by their side through Nathan’s journey.
UPDATE: Nathan received his bone marrow transplant yesterday, and we’re happy to share that everything went well.
As of today, he is at Day +1. The team is expecting the cells to engraft sometime between April 30 and May 7.
Let’s all keep rooting Nathan on as he continues his battle!
Thank you again to everyone for your continued support, messages, and prayers—it truly means so much to all of us.
UPDATE # 2
We’re happy to share that Nathan was able to return home yesterday!
After a few long and difficult weeks, Nathan officially engrafted on May 5 — a huge milestone in his recovery journey. Bless Nathan’s donor!
His counts remain quite low, so he still needs to be very careful. Nathan is now an outpatient and plans to remain that way. While he still has a long battle ahead, both him and Jacquie (and Rambo!) are so happy he can continue this next phase of recovery from the comfort of home and his own bed.
A huge thank you to everyone for all of the help, kind words, prayers, and thoughtful messages throughout this journey. Your unwavering support and dedication have truly been a blessing.
Please continue to keep Nathan and Jacquie in your thoughts and prayers as he enters this next stage of recovery.
We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
