We are a group of resident doctors training in Springfield, Mass. hoping to have your help in saving one of our most beloved patients.
One of our very young patients has been diagnosed with a severe form of heart failure, which means she will need an urgent evaluation for a heart transplant. She is not only a mother of two, but also an important member of her church, her community, and her extended family.
Unfortunately, her health insurance will not pay for her entire treatment, but a very charitable hospital has agreed to pay most of the cost if we can raise just $50,000 to pay as a deposit up front. Due to her poor prognosis, we are trying to raise this money by January 2016.
We recognize this is short notice, but we wish you had the chance to meet her. This special woman has touched the hearts of everyone involved in her care and has inspired us to fundraise to pay for her heart transplant.
As physicians, we are tasked with doing all we can for our patients and when we have the chance to save a life, it would be a shame to miss it due to financial constraints. We hope you'll take this opportunity to help us save the life of a very special woman.
