Erin's fight
Doação protegida
Last month, Erin Kohl was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at Barnes Jewish hospital in St. Louis. This is a particularly nasty cancer, normally by the time it is found its too late for any sort of treatment. We are so very blessed, surgery is possible, with a cautiously optimistic prognosis. She will have surgery on April 26th. This is a very serious procedure, lasting up to 8 hours. She will spend at least one night in the ICU unit, and then 5-7 days in the hospital. Following this, it will be 6 to 8 weeks before she can return to work. I started this to help relieve some of the financial burden she will be facing, including her regular bills, her mounting medical bills, and to help with the cost of traveling to and from the hospital and the doctor's offices. After her surgery she will still face a round of chemo treatment, which will mean more trips to St Louis. Erin is always the first to help when someone is down on their luck, and never expects anything in return. I am hoping that everyone who knows Erin, and knows what I'm talking about, will step up and return the favor in her time of need.
