Kate's First Medical Mission Trip!

I've been given an amazing opportunity to travel to Las Canas, Dominican Republic from May 24th-June 1st with a team from my medical school! We will be partnering with Timmy Global Health to work in an underserved town for a week giving medical care to the people who need it most. The medical students will be working along side medical professionals doing everything from prescribing pharmaceuticals to performing medical procedures to the people in need. Timmy Global Health is also in the exciting process of establishing a full medical program in these communities!
I have always wanted to travel to an underserved area and give medical care to those without ample resources like we do here. Because I ran track all through college, I was never able to go on an extended medical mission trip. However, this opportunity comes at the perfect time for me, during my last free summer between my first and second year in medical school!
Any type of support will be extremely appreciated! Prayers, encouragement, thoughts, and donations are all welcome! Any donation, no matter the size, will play an essential part in improving these beautiful people's lives! Any donation made on this site will directly go towards our trip expenses.
