MYEA DC Trip 2018

Last year, the Maine Youth Environmental Association (MYEA) sent three young activists to Washington D.C. to lobby Congress alongside members of the Citizens Climate Lobby (CCL). We met with senators and representatives to propose CCL's Carbon Fee and Dividend, and it was a wonderful learning experience!

This year, MYEA has a goal of sending 10 students to D.C., but as a newly-formed organization, we need some help with the costs. That's where you come in! The cost per person is $550, but CCL has graciously offered to fundraise half of that, leaving a cost per person of $275. To make it possible for students to participate, we are trying to raise as much of the remaining $2750 as we can to leave each student with a minimal fee. This cost covers travel, lodging, food, and educational materials provided during the trip. 

Any donation helps us reach our goal, and if you can't donate, share! This trip was a wonderful experience and we are excited to share this experience with motivated young activists!
