Abben Goodwin Family Fire

The Abben Goodwin Family has been through a lot in recent days.  Lori, the mother of the family, has just overcome colon cancer after several grueling months of chemotherapy treatment.  She has been  recovering well, but is also in a weakened state, and then the unthinkable happened.  Lori's son Jordan was rushed to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with three pockets of infection in his brain, and had to undergo emergency brain surgery in order to  correct the problem.  Jordan has been in the hospital recovering since April 4th, and has since undergone two additional procedures, one to fix a hole in his esophagus, and an additional procedure to drain more infection.

On the night of April 19th, 2019 as Lori was in Iowa City at the University Hospital with her son, she received a call that their house tragically caught on fire. Everyone was safely removed from the home, but not before losing absolutely everything.  Lori has 4 younger adopted special needs children, and five of her own older children.

This family needs your help raising funds to buy a new home to continue building memories in, and take care of expenses for their children during this tough time.  If you can afford to donate anything for this wonderful family, please do, as they are in dire need of all the help you can provide.
