Cancer affects us all…perhaps a friend or acquaintance of yours, a family member, partner / wife or child or perhaps you have or are recovering from cancer…I doubt any of us can say that it hasn’t affected us at some point in our lives...and its unfortunately likely to affect us again…A number of organisations provide support to people and families who are dealing with or living with cancer hence these organisations are imperative for getting people and families through the ordeal. There are many but one of these organisations is Maggie’s who has provided priceless support to families living with cancer. The demand for their help is significant and it is therefore important that funding is available to the likes of Maggie’s so they can continue to operate and help people. So…I have decided to get my clinically obese backside in gear and do the “Tour de 4” in September which is a bike race that was established by the legend Sir Chris Hoy demonstrating that living with stage 4 cancer, does not define anyone nor limit possibilities of what can be achieved. It will be my privilege to ride with people who suffer directly or indirectly from cancer pushing the boundaries of what is possible and while doing this, I will be raising money to support Maggie’s. I hope that you can find some spare change and support this organisation so they can continue their crucial and important work. In advance, I thank you for your support.
