My Mom, Our expenses, My family

its me!! mega from friday night fever!!

on a serious note, on september 18th of this year, my mother, who has earned nothing but my love and respect in her time being my mom, suffered a major hemorrhagic stroke that left her paralyzed on her left side and with severely limited ability to take care of herself. I live with my two brothers, we have been living together due to our low income circumstances and needing to support eachother .

We as a family had been staying with a family friend for about a years time due to needing to quickly move out of our old state, due to a massive loss in income and inability to sustain ourselves. We have been trying to do our best to pick ourselves back up, but have found it difficult amidst a variety of circumstances, now including the stroke.

I can no longer stay with this family friend, and my brothers and I are in need of any financial support possible: we’ve barely been managing our ability to pay our monthly expenses, and now we face even bigger more exorbitant bills than we have ever faced before. We have to find someplace to move and need anything thats possible to give for the time being so we have more time to worry about and focus on our mom and her needs, which have increased exponentially. She is being forcibly removed from the hospital tomorrow, and we need to be able to sustain a sufficient living space for her to live in.

anything , even the smallest amount, helps more than you know and is extremely appreciated. we are in a position we can no longer ignore. thank you.

as promised on twitter dot com i will say a swear word LMAO, but i do have to ask

our previous goal was a rough estimate of how much expenses that come up would roughly amount to, but we were presented with an even bigger goal to meet; we only have so much in savings and are trying to fill in the gaps that we can, but we still need support; hitting $2000 was GREAT but now we need about $5,000 dollars to cover the following:

-a months stay at a skilled care facility in our area, specifically within regions that are close enough to us to where we can check on mom, range from $3000-$4000 USD; we are looking to apply for benefits relating to local Medicare/Medicaid as well as disability benefits for mom for the long term, but ideally, we dont want to wait for that process to get her enrolled into a facility and start receiving the care she needs

-additional expenses that may come up, $1000 may seem like a steep cushion but evidently, our expectations have been far outdone before and we want to be sure we can cover additional costs

extra money that we dont use to put towards housing mom and ourselves will be given to those who have helped us irl, who have taken the time to feed and take care of us within their means; their contributions are immense and not unnoticed

i wouldnt be raising the goal if my family didnt really really need it, i know its alot to ask but hitting it and maybe even beyond would mean so much to me, even beyond words
