On Monday 9/28/20 my father Prisciliano De La Cruz passed away unexpectedly. I was on a fire assignment and flew home immediately after receiving the news. My family is heartbroken, we need him, he was so selfless, humble, kind, and outgoing but most importantly, the rock that held our home together. He sacrificed so much to provide my siblings and I the best possible life and future. I remember my dad would join me for baseball practice, waiting hours for me to finish my game. He would also pick me up from all of my fire explorer meetings, he didn’t care if it was late night and he had to work early mornings. He was always there when his family needed him and for that, I love you Dad!

El lunes 28/09/20 falleció inesperadamente mi padre Prisciliano De La Cruz. Estaba en una misión de bomberos y volé a casa inmediatamente después de recibir la noticia. Mi familia está desconsolada, lo necesitamos, era tan desinteresado, humilde, amable y extrovertido, pero lo más importante, la piedra que mantenía unida nuestra casa. Se sacrificó tanto para brindarnos a mis hermanos y a mí la mejor vida y futuro posible. Recuerdo que mi papá se unía a mí para la práctica de béisbol, esperando horas para que terminara mi juego. También me recogía de todas mis reuniones de exploradores de incendios, no le importaba si era tarde en la noche y tenía que trabajar temprano en la mañana. Siempre estuvo ahí cuando su familia lo necesitaba y por eso, ¡te amo papá!
