Volunteer in Need

Hi, My name is Christy Sweeney and I would like to fundraise for a fellow Girl Scout Volunteer Kim Martin. I’ve known Kim since 2010 when our girls were 5 years old. We’ve been volunteering with Girl Scout Troop 144 ever since!

Kim is a single Mom of 3 daughters. Her oldest daughter is grown now and her younger daughters are in College & High School. Kim works as a Photographer with Lifetouch, the school picture people. The last few years have been challenging for Kim(like most) financially.

She was happy to be working again.

During the early parts of March 27, 2022, Kim sustained a serious fall down her stairs at home while she was Sleep Walking!! She split her head open requiring staples to close it, broke her wrist in three different places, banged up by her whole left side of the body, including her knee and injured her right foot requiring surgery on May 3,2022.

Kim will need 4-6 weeks to heal the broken bones and possibly longer before she can return to work. Kim doesn’t get paid time off.

I want to help this very deserving family during a difficult time. If you can help Kim, I’d be extremely grateful!

Kim has been shaping our young girls into beautiful, confident women for over 10 Years. It’s our time to help shape her near future.
