Support Phoebe’s Recovery!

My sister Phoebe Millsap has been seriously injured & was hospitalized. While riding her motorcycle, a semi truck that was passing driving the opposite direction kicked up road debris, a metal pole, that hit her directly in the leg, resulting in a double compound fracture.  This occurred in a small town in Mexico where Phoebe has been staying the past several months. She was taken to a nearby hospital which lacked resources to properly take care of her. She remained in thehospital there for 5 days until she was emergency flown home in a small aircraft. This service cost $40,000 and was necessary because she required immediate surgery and was unfit to fly commercially. Once back in Seattle, she received surgery and doctors notified us that if she would’ve stayed one day longer in Mexico she would’ve lost her leg due to the lack of adequate care during her stay in Mexico.
Phoebe was at high risk for infection and had been in unimaginable pain due to the exposed bone.  We are all incredibly grateful she is alive and on the road to recovery.

We are also incredibly grateful for the kind donations, well wishes, and outpour of love these past two weeks. It has been an incredibly stressful time for our family and all donations will be used to offset the cost of the necessary emergency flight which saved Phoebe’s leg and has allowed her to come home.
