UPDATE!!! We visited Motherly Care orphanage on Sunday, July 5th. It was also a day of service for our scholars. What an extremely moving experience. While the smiles on the faces of the children brought me joy, their hugs moved me to tears. Although we were grateful to provide some of the items they needed, there is so much more that they need, such as blackboards, whiteboards, chalk, markers and erasers, to name a few.

This is why I am extending this fundraiser. We need to do more! Please consider supporting this amazing orphanage. They need your help!! Please spread the word.
These are the items purchased with your donations!

This fundraiser will extend to the end of the summer. Thank you again for "Making a World of Difference" for children in Kenya!!

This is what I posted initially!

Hello! We are excited to announce the collaboration of The Wight Foundation and The Nyamwange Foundation. The Nyamwange Foundation is sponsoring a Birthright Afrika trip to Kenya, Africa in July. The Wight Foundation will take a contingent of seven scholars and two staff members.

On our service trip, we will be visiting an orphanage, Motherly Care Children's Home & School Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, which provides education, care, and a nurturing community for orphaned and vulnerable children. This is where you come in. We need your support. We will provide the monies raised in this fundraiser to The Nyamwange Foundation to purchase the following items requested by Motherly Care Children's Home & School Centre.

Educational Support
• Notebooks, pens, pencils, and school stationery
• Educational books and learning materials
• Creative learning tools for students

Spiritual & Community Programs
• Faith-based or devotional materials
• Support for youth ministry and spiritual development

Skill Building & Entrepreneurship
• Tools or supplies that support small business training
• Mentorship ideas for entrepreneurship and life skills

Agriculture & Sustainability
• Seeds and simple farming tools
• Supplies to support vegetable gardens and chicken rearing

Daily Living & Care
• Hygiene items and everyday essentials for children

We will present our gifts to the Orphanage on behalf of The Wight Foundation Community during our visit to the Orphanage on July 5, 2026. This Fundraising effort will end on June 30, 2026, to allow time for members of The Nyamwange Foundation to purchase the desired items.

Thank you, in advance, for "Making a World of Difference" by being part of a mission centered on connection, compassion, and community. We look forward to the meaningful impact we can make together by uplifting lives and fostering hope where it is needed most. Please consider donating to this important cause and sharing this campaign with your network. We appreciate your support!
