Moroccan Earthquake: Help Mohammed and his family
Donation protected
We are a Los Angeles based family who were in Morocco for work last year and were lucky enough to visit many of the incredibly beautiful villages nestled in the Atlas Mountains. We became friends with Mohammed and his family (here he is pictured with our daughter above) who works as a tour guide for the area, and who is a one of the most kindly and hospitable people we've ever met.
The village he lives in is called Agnie. It is connected to Ourigane in the Atlas Mountains, right in the hardest hit zone. 81 people from his very small village died. His family, including his two children, survived but their house is so badly damaged that they are all sleeping outside in the cold.
We told him we would do our best to raise some funds so that he and his neighbors could begin to repair their houses, get emergency supplies, and help to make sure that other children in the village have some sort of sheltered place to sleep within the next several weeks, before it begins to get extremely cold at night.
We know that there are many victims of the earthquake, but we can get this money directly to Mohammed with none of it going to other costs. We hope you will consider supporting Mohammed directly, so that he can rebuild his family's house, and the houses of other children living in the hard-hit village of Agnie.
