This is Sushi. I found him starving and injured next to the dumpster at my work plaza. I called every sanctuary and shelter in and around my county trying to find help for him. All were at capacity. My only other option was animal control. Being that he was injured, extremely malnourished, and in overall poor condition from the elements, he would more than likely be euthanized. He ran to me for help, and I don't believe the answer to abuse is to kill him. It has become my mission not to let that happen. He's an absolute sweetheart. He loves to cuddle, and more than anything, he loves a good bowl of sushi. I've taken him in for a check-up with my vet to see what was causing the limp in his back leg, and it seems that the ball of his right hip is not in the socket. I've attached the x-ray below. Because there's already been time between his injury and me finding him, the vet is unable to reset the joint. He will need a surgery with a starting cost of $4,500. Unfortunately, I don't have a credit limit high enough to make this happen. He is currently on medication to help with the pain, but this is far from a long-term solution, and he will need surgery soon. I'm not one to ask for help, but I will do whatever it takes to save his life. Anything is appreciated more than you know.
