Mila Danielle Gonzalez

My precious niece Dallas, and her loving husband Esteban Gonzalez were spared their lives in a horrific car accident on Friday, June 24, 2022. Dallas was just about 36 weeks pregnant with their first child, Mila. They were t-boned on Dallas's side of the car by a driver going 90+ mph. The vehicle was traveling on the wrong side of the road and ran two red lights before slamming into them.

After waking up from losing consciousness, Esteban turned to look at his wife only to find her lifeless. He noticed his dog at a distance and realized he was killed instantly. At that moment, he thought he lost everything. Esteban kicked his door open and hobbled his way to his wife, only to be pulled away by the emergency crews. While the staff treated him, he heard Dallas cry and knew she was alive. It is by the grace of God that they survived this horrible crash.

Dallas had an emergency C-Section, and Mila Danielle Gonzalez entered the world. She was immediately airlifted to the nearest Children's Hospital in Utah. She suffered from brain and skull trauma from the impact. She also had a seizure and multiple complications. She was kept alive by machines while we all prayed for a miracle. Dallas and Esteban were being treated for their injuries, unable to be with their newborn baby.

After being told that Mila may not make it, Esteban was released from the hospital to be by her side. Two days later, Dallas was finally able to reunite with her newborn child. They held her closely, kissed her gently, cuddled and loved on her for a short period. On June 27, at just 3 days old, Jesus welcomed sweet Mila into his heavenly arms. She slipped into eternity so peacefully. Something no parent would ever want to witnessed.  In Dallas's words " I never knew I could love someone so much. We are suffering, but I am so thankful for the time I had with my baby girl."

Although no amount of money in this world could ever equal to the price our beloved Mila had to pay, this family could use all the help. They will be out of work for at least 4 months to heal physically, emotionally and spiritually. We kindly ask for donations of any amount your heart desires to help Dallas and Esteban during this extremely difficult time. Donations raised will also go towards a memorial for our precious Mila "miracle" Danielle Gonzalez.

Thank you for your compassion, kindness, and prayers.
