Michael Murphy Veteran Memorial Fund

Michael Patrick Murphy tragically passed away on Saturday December 21st after a long battle with addiction. Michael was a loving and loyal brother, son and friend to so many. Michael bravely served 4 years with the US Marines and toured in a 2009-2010 Western Pacific  MEU. For those of you who were lucky enough to know Mike,  his presence dominated the entire room from his goofy smile, joyous easy laugh and his genuine love and empathy for others. In Michael's last month as a US marine, he tragically lost his mother to lung cancer and carried that incredible loss with him for the rest of his short life. Like so many others, Michael struggled with addiction and sadly lost his battle at the young age of 30 years old. 

With the blessing of his heartbroken sister Rian, father Mike and Aunt Michelle,  I am setting up a fund to help with the cost of funeral expenses. ALL of the money raised through this fund will go directly to recover the loans taken to pay for the funeral.
