Mike (dad and grandpa) Lost his Home in a Fire
Doação protegida
I am the daughter of Mike McMahan. Anyone who knows Mike is aware that he is the most kind, selfless, accepting and loving person you could ever have the blessing to meet.
At age 71, he lives a simple life in the mountain town of Leavenworth, WA in his Winnebago travel trailer. Sadly, on January 14, 2024 while Mike was in Wenatchee attending his church's Sunday Mass service a fire occurred inside his home (the trailer) due to a lithium battery in his laptop overheating and exploding.
Everything was melted, burned, and destroyed by fire, soot, and smoke by the time the fire department was able to arrive on scene and distinguish the flames. Even the clothes he had on his back, what he called his nice church outfit, are now ruined by his attempt to manage the fire while the fire department was on its way.
Mike is safe and staying with friends while he awaits insurance determinations. However, he has nothing to his name now. He didn't ask for me to start this fundraiser for him, but he has always been there for his family and community when they've been in need. So now I ask you, if you are able, to help him rebuild his life with some new clothes, toiletries, and other essentials to get him through.
If you would like to offer help beyond donating financially please reach out to me, Brandy.
Thank you and God bless.
