Mikaela's Love

This summer, Mikaela & Joel bought their first home. They had just gotten back from their dream trip to Morocco. Only a month ago, she had started her LTO (contract) position in a new school & she was still working part-time at the Museum.
Last week, Mikaela passed away after a car accident. At 29 year old, you don't plan for this sort of thing to happen.
Mikaela was always the first person to step up to support a friend, or even a complete stranger, and especially a pup in need. Whether she baked you delicious muffins, drove you to an appointment, picked up the phone to make sure you were alright or just gave you a truly loving hug, Mik was always there. She gave her time, energy and anything else she could spare to whoever needed it. She loved her students, her family & friends, and especially, she loved Joel and Freya.
So, in true Mikaela spirit, many of us are looking for ways to support her family when they need it the most. We know that everyone will be supporting Joel in many different ways, but we wanted to make sure that he isn't worrying about something as trivial as money.
From funeral, estate, mortgage and life expenses to figuring out life after Mikaela, we know that there are going to be many difficult days ahead and wanted to pitch in however we could and thought that there may be others looking for ways to help.
