We received news from our family in Indonesia at the start of June that my father-in-law, Midian, has a tumor in his right lung. What started as typical cold symptoms and a persistent cough turned out to be lung cancer.

Midian later had a stroke on July 1st which landed him in the emergency room. The CT scans confirmed the cancer had metastasized to his brain. He began radiation to his brain on July 4th and will receive 10 rounds over the course of 2 weeks. He also started physical therapy to rehabilitate his right side from the affects of the stroke. He currently is unable to walk, talk and is on a feeding tube & catheter. 

The doctors will reassess Midian's condition after the radiation to determine if he can go home and what the next treatment plan will be. Either way, in the hospital or at home, he will need to have around the clock care as he's currently unable to perform daily tasks on his own. His medical insurance doesn't cover much and the family alone can't afford what is needed. We are reaching out to ask for financial support for our family in addition to prayer.
