Michael’s Heart Needs Love

Please assist me with helping my brother Michael Massaro with urgent medical and life expenses.

The next three months of medications, dr’s appointments and intensive cardio care is crucial and will determine my brothers future and possible life!

Any assistance you can provide no matter the size is greatly needed and appreciated!

My brother is 46 years old, a husband, father of three beautiful girls and grandfather of two. He and his wife recently relocated to Florida to be closer to their daughters. He had just started working at his new job and his health insurance hadn’t kicked in and now it is unclear when or if he can return.

On Monday March 21st my brother left work early because he was experiencing fatigue and shortness of breath. Later that evening he began spitting up blood.

He was transported to the Gulf Coast Medical Center where he was admitted immediately. He had a cardiac catheterization performed and no blockages were found, however his heart is still beating too fast.

He is being fitted with a LifeVest which he must wear 24-7 for the next 3 months in case he experiences sudden cardiac arrest.

The goal during the months to come is too attempt to strengthen his heart muscle for future procedures. As of today his heart is functioning around 30 percent.

There are a lot of unknowns going forward but anything we can do to lessen stress especially financial stress is of great benefit.

My heart is broken, and I love my brother more than he will ever know.

If you know my brother, you know the spirit and goodwill that resides his heart and soul.  

He would give a stranger the shirt off his back, and I’ve literally witnessed him do that.
