Michael Anderson Memorial

With extreme sadness, we announce the passing of Michael Anderson, who lost his life in aid of another on February 5th, 2022 in Brown Deer, WI. His light went out much too soon, yet he left a lasting mark on all who knew him.

 

Michael Anderson was born on February 28, 1990 in the western suburbs of Chicago to Steven Anderson Sr. and Claudia Anderson (Grusecki). The family relocated to Whitewater, WI in 1993. Growing up, he was active in soccer and baseball, and was a lover of movies (he had a movie quote for most situations) and video games. He also enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, camping, kayaking, hiking and playing frisbee golf. He could be found in front of a bonfire whenever the opportunity presented itself.

 

Mikey would light up any room he walked into, and everyone who knew him has so many stories to share. We will all miss his unique take on the world, his carefree and goofy attitude, his stubborn streak, and the way that he was determined to maximize the fun in his life. He lived his life on his terms and spent his time doing the things that he wanted to do.

 

Mikey is survived by his parents Steven Sr. and Claudia Anderson, his brother Steven Anderson Jr. (Sarah) and their children, Charlie, James and Elliana, and partner Kristin.

 

Although he is gone, he will live on in our hearts and memories. When you think of Mikey, celebrate the good memories you have from your time with him. Remember that life is fragile and short and that we should all live each day to the fullest.

 

Funds raised through this campaign will go to the family and be used to help offset funeral expenses.
