Friends & Family of Melanie,
In the nearly 16 years that Melanie has been battling metastatic breast cancer, through the countless procedures, scans, surgeries, treatments, and side effects, she has battled like a true warrior.
As Melanie fights her final battle, with her family and long list of friends by her side, she remains as positive and strong as ever in her last days.
This fundraiser is for Shawn, Nathan, and Zack. Melanie's hospice and medical costs are covered, however, there is added financial pressure of many months of living in Houston, travel for the boys, and related expenses.
In addition, Melanie and Shawn spent years planning a remodel of their master suite to become Melanie's sanctuary. This remodel is currently underway, but COVID has added significant delays and associated expenses to this dream project.
Melanie's last "bucket list" wish is to travel to the tropical beach. Please help send Shawn, Nathan, and Zack celebrate her life there, and grieve together, without the added pressure of finding the money to pay for it.
Thank you for loving Melanie, for every ounce of support and care provided to her over the years, for every "I love you". It's time to shift our focus to caring for those who have cared for her.
