I am Christiana, writing on behalf of my daughter Mina living in London.

Recently, our lives were turned upside down when she was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. Her UK doctors advise urgent surgery, chemotherapy and further treatment.

Due to the intensity of treatment, she is unable to work. Meanwhile her housing situation unexpectedly changed. She is fortunate to have temporary accommodation with kind people, and we helping cover her living costs.

However as retirees, our resources are limited, and covering living plus medical costs is difficult.

Once the most intensive phase of treatment is over, I wish to bring my daughter home so she can recover surrounded by family. Currently, it’s difficult to see how we can make this work financially.

Any contribution, no matter how small, helps us focus on treatment and recovery.
