Meghan needs a wheelchair

Hi my name is Meghan. I became paralyzed by the virus Transverse Myelitis at the age of 12. July 19, 2015 will be nine years since I became paralyzed. Luckily I am able to drive with the use of hand control. The wheelchair I have now is beyond heavy! I can't go places on my own because I can't lift this chair in and out of my car on my own and a handicap accessible vehicle is about $50,000. I get about four hours of work a week. My insurance company says I'm only allowed one wheelchair a life time and unfortunately won't help me with a new one. I am a full time college student and I have to have my parents or friends follow me to school to help me get my wheelchair in and out of my car. I would love more than anything to be independent and to live a normal life. PLEASE help me get my independence back.
