Hi, my name is Lorenz and my family and I are raising money for my brother Carl and longtime girlfriend Kelly. Last week, Carl was admitted to the hospital due to an abnormal heart rate of 200 beats per minute. Diagnosed with AFib and an enlarged heart, the doctors attempted several times to shock his heart back into rhythm but with no success. He finally went through a procedure called cardiac ablation to help correct this. The procedure took, but he has a long road ahead. The medical bills are piling up and there are several pieces of home monitoring equipment including a life vest the insurance will not cover. Carl is at risk of sporadic alterations in his heart rhythm that can cause death - the life vest is designed to monitor his heart and produce a shock if it goes out of rhythm. This is the biggest worry for us and the highest expense. Carl and Kelly are small business owners highly involved in the day-to-day operations. Due to his condition, Carl will not be able to help as he has always done. Friends, all of you who know Carl and Kelly know they are good people with good souls.
