Medical Fund Request for our Dad - Stephen Northam

Hi there everyone, my name is Glenn and I'm looking to fundraise to help towards the unexpected medical bills to cover an emergency for our Dad - Stephen Northam.

At around 7am Turkish time on Saturday 20th July 2024, our Dad was taken to hospital in Turkey (Ozel OFM Antalya Hastanesi) following a diabetic infection on his foot. This quickly turned very serious as he developed a severe life-threatening septic infection which led to his organs starting to shut down. He is also facing a partial amputation of his foot.

Unfortunately, his insurance is not covering the hospital bills and the hospital is threatening to stop treatment if they aren't paid. Via some extremely generous family donations, he has been covered for the past week but unfortunately, the bills are stacking up.

Stephen was a career police officer who gave a lot to the various communities he worked for. He also took on my brother and I from another marriage as well as his current wife's children, and treated us like his own - making us feel part of the family with our other brothers.

Any donation would be gratefully received - I've set the goal at £45,000 to help keep his treatment going as long as necessary, reduce the burden of the bills as well as raising enough funds in the hope to stop him losing his entire foot.
