Maurice Scott was just 15 years old when he tragically lost his life during a recent Memorial Day weekend shooting in Washington, DC. Maurice was a loving son to this mother, a brother to an older sister and a twin sister, an uncle, a nephew, and a friend to many. Maurice was an Honor Roll student at KIPP DC Somerset College Preparatory in Southeast Washington, DC, and he was passionate about school, basketball, and video production. Maurice had a mesmerizing smile, a huge heart, and a depth beyond his young age. 

We are raising money to help defray funeral and memorial costs for Maurice, and also to help with transitional housing expenses, including moving and rental deposit expenses, for Maurice's mother Monique and his twin sister as they search for a new residence. 

Maurice had a bright future ahead of him, and we all mourn his loss.
