Healing Energy for Maureen Tonge
Donation protected
In December 2018, Maureen began to feel unwell. Crushing pain in her head. Soaring emotions. Weakness. Seizures. She tried to push through, but then came the news: brain cancer.
On February 24th, a biopsy confirmed the presence of a Glioblastoma Multiforme, Grade IV; deemed inoperable because of how deeply it’s buried in Mo’s brain.
Mo and her family have touched so many in their hometown of Quispamsis, NB, and far beyond. Perhaps you played basketball with Maureen and her twin sister, Kirsten. Maybe you joined Maureen at a yoga. Or was Maureen your teacher in Yellowknife? Perhaps your ties to this wonderful family go way back to when Maureen’s father, Ray Tonge taught at Lorne Junior High School. However you’re connected to the Tonges, you know how loving, generous, and warm they all are.
Maureen and her husband, Robert Charpentier live in Yellowknife. Mo is undergoing radiation and chemotherapy in Edmonton. Her parents, Ray and Diane still live in Quispamsis, and her sisters Kirsten, Jocelyn, and Melanie are in BC, AB, and ON, respectively.
Any gifts you contribute, big and small, will help the generous Tonge family stay connected and close to Maureen while she needs them most. Please show Mo and her family your support.
And, of course, if you know Mo, you know that she is handling this challenge with grace, confidence, and strength. Please continue to send along your positive thoughts, energy, and prayers. Mo says they have not gone unnoticed.
