Today was a day of reality. Bill after 10 1/2+ years has a diagnosis. Back in 2006 Shands in Gainesville, said that Bill had an underlying brain disease, not yet determined. Years have faded away and he has suffered through many test, trails, medications etc., all in a effort to find relieve from the torment that he lives in. He has........frontal lobe syndrome
Frontal lobe disorder it is an impairment of the frontal lobe that occurs due to disease or head trauma. The frontal lobe of the brain plays a key role in higher mental functions such as motivation, planning, social behavior, and speech production.
Frontotemporal disorders are the result of damage to neurons (nerve cells) in parts of the brain called the frontal and temporal lobes. As neurons die in the frontal and temporal regions, these lobes atrophy, or shrink. Gradually, this damage causes difficulties in thinking and behaviors normally controlled by these parts of the brain. Many possible symptoms can result, including unusual behaviors, emotional problems, trouble communicating, difficulty with work, or difficulty with walking, tremors, apraxia etc. etc...
There is no cure, and no rehabilitation. They can only use medication to ease the symptoms, in hopes of making it more bearable. But God.
Thanks to all of you that gave, the funds. I used them to take him to the chiropractor, and to try some alternative avenues in hopes of getting him relief. Unfortunately, it made no difference in his symptoms but you do not know until you try,
My heart is sadden, one friend said today, well don't you feel better just knowing, no not really, I already knew. My Bill in that picture taken in 2005, just a couple of months before he became ill, if he had the capability of changing his circumstance he would. He has lived longer than medical science's chart says he should. But, there has been great things that have taken place during this journey. I know that God has used it to grow me, to bring others to Christ, to help other draw strength.
If you are reading this, please know that you have to look beyond your circumstance, get your eyes off the problem and live in spite of what you see.
God has a plan even if you can not see it!.
I can testify, preach and give account for what I know that my God has done in me on this journey with Bill.
