Matthew Wisniewski

It takes a village to raise a child, it also takes a village to say goodbye to child. My 39-year-old brother, Matthew passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday November 3, 2023. This was unexpected as we chatted the day before about football. They have determined that his heart stopped. Matthew contracted COVID 19 in April 2020. He was intubated for 23 days and in the hospital and rehab for a total of 99 days. Since that time, he has been unable to work. He could not walk without the assistance of a walker. In addition, he developed Diabetes, ulcer sores on his legs from the diabetes, AFIB, an enlarged heart.

Prior to COVID, Matt was very active and worked as a cook. He was also an avid sport fan. Besides Boston sports, he loved Ohio State Football team (having gone to college at University of Findlay in Findlay Ohio). Most of all he was my best friend and the reason I played hockey.

The cost of the funeral expenses are a burden on my family. This was not something we were planning. I am asking for help to offset the expense. I appreciate any contributions to this fund.
