Marshall Fire Victims - Saint Andrews Lane

Hi,

 

My name is Liz Landwehr and we lost our home in the Marshall Fire that ripped through Louisville and Superior on 12/30/21. Our entire neighborhood (Coal Creek) was leveled.  Out of 141 homes, 138 were completely destroyed. From the road, you can now see all the way up to the top of the hill, where formerly there was 4 layers of homes...It's beyond devastating. Through all of this I've realized that Josh, baby James and I have an incredible group of family, friends and co-workers that hail from both coasts, the midwest, and overseas. They rallied immediately and made sure we were safe, housed, clothed and loved. We are truly humbled.

 

Now it's time to see if I can utilize our network to help our neighbors. Everyone has been asking what we need,

and the answer is, not much, until we all land in long-term rental housing. There are very few furnished rentals and all of us are starting from scratch. This fundraiser will be used to buy as many NEW mattresses as possible for my neighbors on Saint Andrews Lane, because a night's sleep in your own bed really makes you feel like you're home again. Please consider donating now. Any amount is much appreciated. Alternatively, you can let me know if you'd like to sponsor 1 family's mattress or team up with friends to sponsor a family's mattress. My goal is $30,000 because mattresses are an expensive item and one of the few things you'd really like new. I'm aiming to help 30 families. I will do everything I can to find a company willing to give us volume discounts and firmness options, so the families can choose a new mattress that feels like home.
