My name is Mariano, and I am starting this fundraiser to help my dad during a really difficult moment for our family.

A few months ago, my father was diagnosed with a large tumor in his colon measuring approximately 25 cm. After a colonoscopy, a biopsy was performed, and initially, we were told that the tumor appeared to be benign.

Recently, after reviewing the medical report again, we received devastating news, the biopsy confirms that the tumor is actually cancer.

Because of this, my father now needs surgery to remove the affected portion of his colon. Doctors will also need to perform scans and further medical evaluations to determine whether the cancer has spread and what additional treatment may be necessary.

Unfortunately, my father does not have medical insurance, which makes this situation extremely difficult for our family financially.

Over the past year, my father has already gone through several serious health challenges. Shortly after canceling his insurance, he required surgery to remove multiple hernias. During his recovery, he suffered a fall from a ladder and broke his femur and wrist, requiring another surgery. Both procedures had to be paid completely out of pocket, and we are still recovering financially from them.

Now we are facing this new battle against cancer.

This fundraiser is being created to help cover my father’s medical expenses, including surgery, hospital care, scans, and any treatments that may be required afterward.

Mi nombre es Mariano y estoy creando esta campaña para ayudar a mi papá en un momento realmente difícil para nuestra familia.

Hace algunos meses a mi papá le detectaron un tumor muy grande en el colon de aproximadamente 25 cm. Después de realizarle una colonoscopía y una biopsia, inicialmente nos dijeron que el tumor parecía ser benigno.

Sin embargo, recientemente al revisar nuevamente el reporte médico recibimos una noticia devastadora: la biopsia confirmó que el tumor en realidad es cáncer.

Debido a esto, mi papá necesita una cirugía para remover la parte del colon afectada por el tumor. Los doctores también necesitarán realizar estudios y escaneos para verificar si el cáncer se ha expandido y determinar qué tratamiento adicional podría ser necesario.

Desafortunadamente, mi papá no cuenta con seguro médico, lo que hace esta situación extremadamente difícil para nuestra familia.

Durante el último año, mi papá ya ha pasado por varios problemas de salud. Poco tiempo después de cancelar su seguro, tuvo que someterse a una cirugía para remover varias hernias. Durante su recuperación sufrió una caída de una escalera y se fracturó el fémur y la muñeca, lo que requirió otra cirugía. Ambas cirugías tuvieron que pagarse completamente de nuestro bolsillo, y aún estamos recuperándonos económicamente de esos gastos.

Ahora enfrentamos esta nueva batalla contra el cáncer.
