Marco de León is a passionate E.R., I.C.U., and Med/Surg nurse and a best friend of many. He recently traveled to New York City to answer the call for help with the overwhelming COVID-19 crisis. Unfortunately, within days of his arrival to NYU Langdon Mineola Hospital, he contracted the coronavirus and quickly spiraled down to a critical state with a dire prognosis. He has been fighting hard for over 6 weeks to stay alive. With God’s help and that of his exceptional medical team caring for him at NYU, we pray that he returns to his beloved Brownsville and Laguna Madre for an early morning fishing trip with his friends and family who miss him dearly.
