help me keep my son safe

My name is Andrew and I am in need of help...

On Feb 14th of last year I was called to go to a hospital by cps because mom was not going to be allowed to leave with the kids.

My son had a healing fracture that left him with an obvious limp at that time. His little brother was 11 weeks old with 35 fractures with various break dates and was in the 8th percentile for weight. I couldn't take his brother. I only had a tentative claim on my son. I was an alleged father with no previously recognized legal rights. So 1 safety plan later I leave with my son. The next day I am offered a choice by cps. Let them handle the case and maybe he will be left with me. Or hire my own lawyer. I hired a lawyer. The next day cps closes his case. Cops searched her home in regards to abuse and found a room with a baby gate screwed into the upper doorframe and a half door bottom with a fastener like a stall in a barn. There was feces found in the room and its closet. This is where they kept my son. Now it is a year later and I get notified that mediation is required, at almost 5 grand, the trial by jury is in 6 weeks which will be 3 X 10 hour days at 4 grand a day minimum, and the court has appointed an amicus of which I am responsible for 7,500 dollars. There is a strong case for termination or a final order with supervised visitation only but I have played out my credit getting this far. If anyone can help me I will be in your debt.
