Mama June’s Chemotherapy
Donation protected
Hi, all. I hate asking for help, but if it will benefit my girl, I’ll do just about anything to help her. Most of you know I took her in as my foster in June 2021; and ultimately, we foster failed in December 2021. This dog means the world to me. She spent the first 6 years of her life being overbred on a chain down south, only to watch her babies be sold off or fought to death in a pit near her cage. She then spent over a year in a shelter before coming to me. She survived trauma, heartworm, and multiple benign tumor removals. Unfortunately, her tumors returned in August, and after surgery and biopsy, she’s been diagnosed with high grade carcinoma.
The cancer she has isn't curable. With chemo, there's a possibility of it going into remission. It gives us an additional 6-12 months with her, but if we can get her into a successful remission, there’s a very good chance of 20-24 months. Unfortunately, her pet insurance refuses to cover any of this, stating it’s pre-existing, since she’s had a history of benign tumors. Each treatment is between $600-$700. I’ve already covered the first infusion today, but I’m asking for help to cover the rest. Please consider donating for MJ. She deserves to have more time and more happiness. Thank you so much.
